Klaus was hired as ORBIS America’s first employee and has been with us since 1999. He has a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Long Island University, New York. In his current role as Controller, he is responsible for administration, finances, and human resources of the U.S. operations.
While reflecting on his years at ORBIS, Klaus said, “For me one of the most important factors of ORBIS’ corporate culture has been the friendly work environment in which everybody is appreciated not only for his or her professional skills, but for what he or she brings as an individual. We spend most of our life working. To feel welcomed and appreciated is crucial to achieve our goals as individuals and as a company. Our exposure to people from different backgrounds and cultures makes our office life quite rich and interesting. Many times, we enjoy our meals together, sharing our different experiences and points of view in a respectful and open manner.”
Klaus can speak three languages fluently, English, German, and Spanish. In his free time, he volunteers as a catechist on Sundays.
If Klaus could be a character in any movie, he would play Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump.
